Beautiful Being
A version of a log cabin is in the centre of this work, with the little red square that traditionally symbolises the hearth and heart. I am interested in thinking about ideas of production, the limits that restrict or enable what can appear and what is valued. What effect does the limiting of feminine and culturally associated qualities have on what is and how is wellbeing affected by imbalance. This is an ongoing exploration for me and these ideas are the through flow that background this sculpture.
This is an irregular stuffed and droopy work in Linen, cotton and thread.
31cm x 31cm. It has two little fabric loops to the rear for hanging.
