From the series Conversations About Nothing. I created this art work after falling into a 'woe is me slump' thinking about the 'nothing' that I had. Then I re-membered how opposites fall into a interconnected spectrum. I shifted focus onto what would happen if I brought into play the seemingly polar opposite of my current state of nothingness. Through appreciative contemplation of nothingness I felt the plenum and void of it and meditatively felt the nothing that is. I realised how blessed I am to have momentary touch with this something and nothing. Feeling the duality in that moment being enough and this work is part of the conversation I had on the way.Organic canvas, black stitch hand embroidery and house paint soft sculpture rough washed soft frame.
